Nichols Arboretum

Between the Huron River and Geddes Avenue, from the hospital to the railroad, Nichols Arboretum is over 120 acres of lush forests, gardens, and lawns, containing an amazingly broad and diverse collection of trees and plants, from Rocky Mountain junipers to eastern red-cedars, Greek firs to Chinese aralias.

Managed by the School of Natural Resources and Environment, the Arb is a popular place for Ann Arborites to spend a restful afternoon, a late-evening stroll under the stars, or an early morning jog. A jewel of the University, Nichols Arboretum has been enjoyed by faculty, staff, and students of all disciplines for a nearly a century.
