| Near the entrance into the main valley, the valley wall juts out into the open space forming a "knob", on which a wider resting point has been built with log benches. From here, one can look out over empty space to the north or the east, with landscaped brush and trees on the valley floor and the far side. Shown here, the view to the north includes a bit of the trail on the opposite side, on its way north and east to the main valley.
