Families with dogs enjoy bringing their pets here to chase after sticks thrown into the water. It's a rare afternoon that one can come by and not find one or more retrievers (fully grown or just puppies!) splashing around in the water after sticks. On particularly hot days, the dogs might just lower themselves into the water for a while, while their families dip their feet in nearby.
