In the evening, the late summer sun will often shine a brilliant, golden light down on the riverbanks. As the sun sets, the tops of the trees remain illuminated while the ground below is shadowed, creating a soft, warm, greenish-gold glow that seems to glimmer for hours as it becomes darker.
