| The southern valley stretches almost due south from the Arb's main valley, forming a shallow but narrow ravine from Geddes Avenue to the much larger main valley. The gravel path follows the upper rim of the valley, but another path drops down the side and follows the bottom. Halfway down the valley, one of the taller trees in the area provides a pleasant place to sit and study or share a conversation with a friend.
