| When entering the Law Quad from the north,
one is greeted by the sight of diagonal walkways across a grassy square,
and the massive Law
Library. This building is actually only a small part of
the library, most of
which is housed underground in a unique complex with sloped glass ceilings
looking upward from a large pit on the (outer) southeast corner of the quadrangle.
The upper building is open for public use, but the lower section is reserved for students
in the Law School.
