To those who have been away from campus for more than a few years, the new look of the Shapiro Library (formerly the Undergraduate Library, or "UGLi") is a shock. Replacing the box-shaped colored panel and glass exterior of the old building is a new, brick and glass shell, adding much-needed space and much-desired aesthetics to the building. The Shapiro Library now holds the consolidated collections of the University's science libraries, as well as the original undergraduate library facilities.
