| The stores on North University near State Street have changed dramatically over the past few years. Brueger's Bagels now resides at the address occupied for the previous 80 years by Drake's Sandwich Shop. Michigan Book and Supply has replaced the Kresge store on the corner, and a bank now occupies the corner at Thayer Street. In the center of the block is a small indoor mall.
