On the north side of Liberty, the venerable Michigan Theater is one of Michigan's last grand old movie houses. Recently restored, the theater an Ann Arbor treasure. Films shown at the Michigan Theater include international and independent cinema, as well as live performances and silent films accompanied by the theater's organ. A highlight of each year is the annual Ann Arbor Film Festival, which regularly draws viewers from around the country
