Zingerman's is called by many "the best Deli outside New York City." People come from all over the midwest to the corner of Detroit and Kingsley to enjoy the terrific sandwiches made here, not to mention their famous thick & rich chocolate brownies, freshly baked breads, and, of course, the delicatessan-style grocery. Zingerman's is so popular that they actually mail food across the country on request. I've overheard people standing in line explaining that they were putting together a "care package" for their friends or relatives in other parts of the country. To local people, it's one of the things that makes Ann Arbor a great place to live
