Built on the former site of the old University Hospital, the new Cancer and Geriatric Center was completed in 1996, and provides new facilities for the clinical treatment of cancer, and for the comprehensive treatment of patients above 60 years of age. The new facilities will allow greater cooperation and collaboration among a broad variety of disciplines related by these common themes.
