At Bonisteel Boulevard, Beal Avenue now takes an abrupt jag to the east, passing around the new Lurie Engineering Center's parking lot. When completed, this building will be North Campus's "front door" to the College of Engineering. (The structure in the background is the Lurie Bell Tower, also under construction.)
