Inside the main lobby, columns, pyramids, the terraced interior walls and skylights form an interesting space within which both natural and artificial lights play at many angles. The building's design is such that the sections nearest to the public lobby are the most open and have the fewest restrictions. As one passes upward and toward the southwest, the building becomes more closed in and quieter, and the visitor passes through unobtrusive security gates. High-tech classrooms occupy the middle area of the third floor, while the library's shelves and reference areas are freely dispersed through the northwest and southeast regions of the building.
